Agatha Kitty's Supplimental Feeding Site all about caring for young kittens (with a kitten development stages page featuring some of my foster kittens!)
Kitten Rescue very good & well organized, covers young orphan care
Animal Clinic orphan kitten care, is more concise than the others, a good starting site in emergencies.
Safe Haven the most complete information on orphan care, but its all on one LONG page in seemingly random order. Worth a look in a non-emergency.

MADISON AND WISCONSIN RELATED SITES
Isthmus's page this is a local weekly independent paper that has good up to date info online about madison.
the Onion Weekly 'news' satire. This was for a long time produced locally, but has been moved to New York. There are still plenty of wisconsin influences, businesses, names and places in the stories are often pirated from the Madison or Milwaukee area.
Vilas Park Zoo Madison's free zoo
Whad'ya Know A quiz radio show that's locally produced. This is on Public radio around the country.
Area Libraries The library system in South Central Wisconsin.
Cat Care Clinic These are the folks that I trust to take care of my cats.
Dane County Humane Society We foster cats here and are members of this shelter.
Mounds Pet Foods The local pet supply store with facilities for adoptable humane society animals.
First Unitarian Society Our Unitarian Universalist church in a Frank Lloyd Wright building.

Special Once-A-Year Events worth going to in Madison, WI:

Kite Festival A surprisingly delightful event, held on the ice in front of the Frank Lloyd Wright designed convention center. The kites are amazing and beautiful. 'Kiters' come from around the world with big and small kites to fly. This is usually held in early February (the first weekend?) and most events are free. Workshops cost a nominal fee.
Film Festival A great opportunity to see unusual but wonderful films. At many showings you get to meet the filmmakers and/or stars. The movies are shown at various theaters over the course of 4 days. This usually occurs at the end of March/beginning of April. (We also enjoyed the related CINEFEST Nuestra America, a latin film festival. This is in November. It was much less of an event than the Spring film festival, with fewer selections and most showings are free.)
Blues festival A two day outdoor concert (Friday and Saturday, usually near the end of August) with new and old Blues greats. Held in a park right on Lake Mendota with a view of the capitol and the Frank Lloyd Wright designed convention center. Good food and good music, but very crowded!
Rhythm and Booms A very popular fireworks show, which choreographs truckloads of fireworks to music using computers. It is very impressive, but not nearly as impressive as the huge crowds (250,000) and the gridlock of cars (and boats) when you are leaving! Usually held on a weekend day near the 4th of July at Warner park.
Halloween at the Zoo, (see the link above for Vilas Park Zoo); For three days the kids dress up and visit the animals at our zoo. There are trick/treat stations around the zoo for them and a haunted house. On Friday the kids have a parade. I love to go just to see all the cute kids and fun costumes. Between the animals and the people and the beautiful fall trees there's lots to recommend this event.
