a picture of the cage that I made for the girls out of IKEA cabinets and a wire shelf. A nice feature is that I could split the cage up by putting longer shelves in the cabinet if I need to do a medical isolation. I also had it set up so that even though the cage is tall (~ 20"X20"X60") I had the shelves alternate so that some are all the way back and some at the front. This eliminates a problem I had with my old cage of elderly rats falling long distances and injuring themselves.
